First of all, I am not a doctor, nor prescribing anything to you. I gained much of my holistic nutrition knowledge after I graduated and faced my own personal immune battle in my mid 20's. Labeled with many auto immune western medicine terms for "we actually have no idea what is wrong with you and are just going to prescribe immune suppressing medications", I took my healing into my own hands. It was a long (almost 2 year) journey of healing, but the most integral part of it was the application of herbal medicine and the types of foods I was consuming. Now, many years later, I have continued learning and using what nature provides to keep my body and immune system strong. I think one of the most important take-aways, especially now in such an important time to be aware of your immune health, is the state of our gut health has a direct relationship with the state of our immune health. An unhealthy gut is nothing to play with.

 

 

This is an easy way to consume all the things I should on the daily, in just one cup every morning. I prep it in a large mason jar in advance for the week and remake it weekly.

 

Recipe:

6 cups of filtered water

1/2 c apple cider vinegar

1/2 c pure cranberry juice

2 whole lemons (freshly squeezed)

half of a large ginger root cut into chunks

1 tablespoon raw honey

1 full dropper of oregano oil

2 full droppers of holy basil leaf extract

2-3 lemon ginger tea bags (I just leave in it)

1 full dropper of elderberry extract

Refrigerate for a week max
